EurJOC is proud to host a Virtual Symposium presenting the 2023 EurJOC-Society Award Winners on April 10th, 2024, at 2:00 pm CEST. The Division of Organic Chemistry of each of EurJOC’s owner societies nominated the best paper published in 2022 by an early career researcher from their respective country. The selected researchers are now presenting their work and published EurJOC paper in this virtual symposium. The symposium will consist of 15-minute oral presentations by the awardees, followed by short Q&A sessions.

  • Camille Oger (France, University of Montpellier, France, EurJOC-DCO/SCF Awardee): Marine Lipid Metabolites - Total Synthesis and Applications
  • Constantinos Neochoritis (University of Crete, Greece, EurJOC-Association of Greek Chemists Awardee): Dibenzothiazepine-Based Multi-Component Reaction (MCR) Chemistry

  • Francesca Cardano (University of Turin, Italy, EurJOC-DCO/SCI Awardee): Squaraine Fluorophores: A Structure-Activity Investigation in Liposomes

  • Adrián Gómez Suárez (University Wuppertal, Germany, EurJOC-Liebig-Vereinigung/GDCh Awardee): Synthesis of Fused Heterocyclic Scaffolds Enabled by Radical Chemistry

  • Zsolt Rapi (Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Hungary, EurJOC-MKE Awardee): Carbohydrate-Based Crown Ethers in Asymmetric Syntheses

  • Irene Bosque Martínez (University of Alicante, Spain, EurJOC- GEQOR/RSEQ Awardee): Oxidative Coupling of 4-Hydroxycoumarins with Quinoxalin-2(1H)-ones Induced by Visible Light under Aerobic Conditions

  • Alexander Zhdanko (Janssen, Belgium, EurJOC-KVCV & SRC Awardee): Coordination Chemistry as Part of Mechanistic Investigations in Organic Chemistry and Catalysis

  • Thomas Boltje (Radboud University, The Netherlands, EurJOC-KNCV Awardee): Synthesis and Late-Stage Modification of Complex Oligosaccharides
